It also includes reference and comment on the tests in BS EN ISO 17892-1 to 12 to clarify their use in the UK. It details the geotechnical laboratory soils test methods that were in BS 1377:1990 that are not in BS EN ISO 17892-1 to 12. ![]() ![]() We’ve now updated and consolidated the BS content into one document that complements the international standards, making it clear for users which tests should be carried out. Until now, geotechnical soil laboratory tests and classifications were covered in six separate British Standards, and some of their content overlapped with that in an international standards series on geotechnical investigation and testing ( BS EN ISO 17892-1 to 12).
